Un nouveau chapitre chez Dior Couture
Après onze années passées à métamorphoser Loewe en l’une des maisons les plus influentes du luxe contemporain, le créateur nordirlandais s’impose désormais à la tête de l’ensemble des collections Dior: homme, femme et haute couture, une première dans l’histoire de la Maison.
Considéré comme l’un des plus grands talents de sa génération, il a présenté le 27 juin son premier défilé Dior Homme à Paris, salué pour sa relecture subtile des codes de Christian Dior mêlant héritage, modernité et esprit britannique. Formé à la London College of Fashion, fondateur de JW Anderson et ancien collaborateur de Prada, il s’est distingué par son sens de l’innovation, ses coupes impeccables et son travail des matières nobles.
Après avoir succédé à Kim Jones puis à Maria Grazia Chiuri, Jonathan Anderson incarne désormais la nouvelle vision créative de Dior, avec l’ambition d’inscrire la Maison dans une nouvelle ère du luxe.
A new chapter at Dior Couture
After eleven years spent transforming Loewe into one of the most influential houses in contemporary luxury, the Northern Irish designer has now taken the helm of all Dior collections men’s, women’s, and haute couture a first in the House’s history.
Regarded as one of the greatest talents of his generation, he presented his first Dior Homme runway show in Paris on June 27, which was praised for its subtle reinterpretation of Christian Dior’s codes, blending heritage, modernity, and British flair. A graduate of the London College of Fashion, founder of JW Anderson, and former collaborator at Prada, he has distinguished himself through his innovative approach, impeccable tailoring, and masterful use of fine fabrics.
Having succeeded Kim Jones and then Maria Grazia Chiuri, Jonathan Anderson now embodies Dior’s new creative vision, with the ambition of ushering the House into a new era of luxury.

Le directeur artistique, qui a fait ses premiers pas dans la mode à Dublin, évoque une destination intimement liée à son parcours. Le choix du Trinity College et de son patrimoine culturel donne ainsi une dimension toute particulière à ce premier défilé Dior en Irlande.
Avec sa collection Fall, la Maison a pris l’habitude de faire dialoguer la couture avec des lieux emblématiques à travers le monde. Après le temple To-ji de Kyoto en 2025, le Brooklyn Museum à New York en 2024, la Porte de l’Inde à Mumbai en 2023 ou encore l’université EWHA de Séoul en 2022, Dublin rejoint à son tour cette cartographie internationale imaginée par Dior.
Mais l’escale irlandaise possède également une résonance historique. Dublin est la ville natale de Carmel Snow, figure majeure de la presse de mode et ancienne rédactrice en chef de Harper’s Bazaar. En février 1947, à l’issue du tout premier défilé de Christian Dior, c’est elle qui immortalisa la révolution esthétique du couturier en lui donnant un nom devenu légendaire : le « New Look ». Près de huit décennies plus tard, le retour de Dior en terre irlandaise crée ainsi un élégant trait d’union entre l’histoire de la Maison et la nouvelle ère portée par Jonathan Anderson.
Under the leadership of Jonathan Anderson, Dior is adding Ireland to its calendar of major destinations. The House will present its Autumn 2027 collection in Dublin, marking its very first fashion show held in the country. The event will take place on 4 December at the prestigious Trinity College, where the iconic Old Library – an architectural gem from the 18th century – will provide a setting steeped in history for this new expression of the Dior universe.
For Jonathan Anderson, this Irish event feels like a return to his roots. The creative director, who took his first steps in fashion in Dublin, speaks of a destination intimately linked to his career. The choice of Trinity College and its cultural heritage thus lends a very special dimension to this first Dior fashion show in Ireland.
With its Fall collection, the House has made a habit of creating a dialogue between haute couture and iconic venues around the world. Following the To-ji Temple in Kyoto in 2025, the Brooklyn Museum in New York in 2024, the Gateway of India in Mumbai in 2023 and Ewha Womans University in Seoul in 2022, Dublin now joins this international map conceived by Dior.
But the stopover in Ireland also has historical significance. Dublin is the birthplace of Carmel Snow, a leading figure in the fashion press and former editor-in-chief of Harper’s Bazaar. In February 1947, following Christian Dior’s very first fashion show, it was she who immortalised the couturier’s aesthetic revolution by giving it a name that has since become legendary: the ‘New Look’. Nearly eight decades later, Dior’s return to Ireland thus creates an elegant link between the House’s history and the new era spearheaded by Jonathan Anderson.
